Initial contact was made via the internet, with the first introduction at the Second Home fair. We initially saw Bulgaria as a risky adventure, but the people at REA earned our trust completely. They don’t have expensive and luxurious offices, but they do have serious, knowledgeable, and nice people (Netherlands and Varna) with a useful network. We were well informed about the possibilities in Bulgaria and guided through the buying process in a thorough and friendly manner. We would like to let all interested parties know that we are very satisfied with the way we have been helped and guided by the people at REA from the very beginning. By now, after a week-long visit to Bulgaria in March 2008, we have made considerable progress regarding: the renovation of our house (near Varna), contacts with, among others, the contractor, plans for the garden, purchasing various household items, choosing a kitchen, etc. Furthermore, the guidance needed for all official actions and documents was excellent, both from REA and from the recommended contacts by REA. Even after the purchase, REA continues to think along and remains attentive to various aspects, both big and small. In the two times we were in Bulgaria, we experienced it as a beautiful country with a good climate and a sympathetic population. We look forward to our next stay in Bulgaria!! Trust must be earned and given. I was looking for a place in the sun where I could invest now and reap the benefits later and came into contact with the REA branch in the Netherlands via the Second Home fair in March 2008. Bulgaria was not my first choice, but after looking around in other EU countries with beautiful coastlines, I quickly concluded that it was no longer affordable for me. At REA, there was quickly a personal contact, and their thorough knowledge and enthusiasm about the northeast coast of Bulgaria quickly convinced me to explore the area. I was soon pleasantly surprised by the professional and enthusiastic network of REA. Because it was not yet the season in Bulgaria, the regular tour operators did not have any programs running that could be booked for the period I wanted to visit Bulgaria. REA connected me with a professional agency that arranged a car, ticket, and hotel for me at a much sharper price than I could get myself from regular travel agencies. With a healthy dose of cautious curiosity, I traveled to Bulgaria. From that moment, this has been the common thread of the cooperation between me and REA. I have always been pleasantly surprised by their understanding and problem-solving ability regarding issues arising from cultural differences and healthy Dutch reserve. We want to thank REA for the enormous support we received during the purchase of our holiday home in Bulgaria. Dream house in the sun, that was always our ideal. We looked at countries like France and Italy. We have acquaintances in Italy who have a beautiful house with a fantastic view. My father and I, who joined the visit, found it perfectly organized. After these days and some reflections, we made the decision and chose a house in the Varna area. In May this year, 2010, we went to Bulgaria to sign the notarial deed of our dream house. Congratulations! Bulgarian real estate agents are a disaster! Slow and unreliable. REA, on the other hand, although Bulgarian, has been living in the Netherlands for a long time and has the Dutch mentality, making the process very smooth and well-organized! We bought a great property in Varna with them.
Several years ago, we spent a vacation in Bulgaria, particularly in the 'Sunny Beach' region. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and interesting the Black Sea area was. Once home, the idea gradually formed to look for a place in the sun in Bulgaria, influenced by the pleasant climate and low cost of living. Through an acquaintance, we got the address of REA BG in s'Gravesande. Diana Valstar, originally from Varna and director of REA BG, immediately gained our trust. She is completely knowledgeable about Bulgarian legislation regarding the purchase of a villa, apartment, or piece of land. After a few discussions, she knew what we were looking for and our wishes. Some time later, she informed us that several properties in the Varna area, including 'Golden Sands,' were for sale. In the spring of 2015, we traveled to Bulgaria with Diana V. An apartment, from a Bulgarian lady, very quietly located in Golden Sands, immediately caught our attention. Golden Sands is 18 km from the very interesting town of Varna, where there is something to experience for young and old. Thanks to Diana V's professional approach, we were able to buy the furnished apartment at a reasonable price. With the intervention of a notary, a formal purchase agreement was signed and translated into Dutch by Diana. The temporary rental of the apartment from May to September was also very well arranged by REA BG with a very correctly drafted contract. The personal meeting on the day of the viewings in Bulgaria was very pleasant.
